It was then decided that after the demise of the Soviet Bloc no State represented a sufficiently credible threat to the Western Alliance to sustain its cohesion, let alone to do so for decades. It was then decided, with Israeli prodding, to produce - essentially from zero - a new enemy, the "global Islamic terrorist network". The manpower for that enterprise were to drawn from those 10,000+ Arabs who combatted in Afghanistan against the Soviet occupation and had now no opportunities to use their use their lethal skills. The home countries of these Arabs did not relish to have them return and stir trouble. The CIA and the British MI6 viewed these mercenaries as cheap guns to be hired for executing the dirty jobs. Saudi and Pakistani intelligence agencies were used to handle these Arabs, in order to hide the masterminds. A number of Muslim preachers were invited to Western countries to entrap gullible Muslims and have them brought to Afghanistan for training. Slowly the "terrorist network" was build up from scratch and the West acquired its new "enemy". In 1993 the first rehearsal of this new terror paradigm was tested, when the FBI masterminded the first bombing of the WTC in New York. The media played their role by covering up FBI's role. It thus became clear that this policy can be sustained. After that, the powers-that-be began to plan for the big bang, the events of 9/11, using a few dozens of Arab/Muslim patsies whose main role was to lay down a trail of evidence, to be later found by the FBI and establish the known legend of the 19 hijackers. The resulting wars against Afghanistan, Iraq and now Yemen, are the fruits of these machinations. What the FBI is doing to American Muslims is of course wrong, illegal and Machiavellic. These methods are just used to keep the myth of Islamic terrorism alive, a myth necessary to maintain the policy established long ago in order to keep the Western Alliance strong, brutal and ruling.
